We just completed our summer mission's trip with a great group from Good Shepherd United Methodist Church from Steele Creek in Charlotte who were joined by some managers from Sam's Club in Hickory.  Despite some frustrating difficulties involving not being able to get several hundred pairs of shoes through customs in Guayaquil, the team did an awesome job of ministering to many children as well as adults.  They were still able to perform a couple of shoe distributions, work in the soup kitchens and fit several adults with eyeglasses that one of the Sam's managers brought down.  What a highlite that was!  What a great joy to see the faces light up of some of the elderly as they were given a pair of glassses and discovered how much better they could see!  A special thanks to this team for how they gave of themselves to show the love of Christ to "our kids" in Guayaquil.  You can access several pictures of the trip by going to facebook and typing in Team Ecuador 2012.  May God continue to bless each of you as you continue to uphold this ministry with your prayers and support.

Blessings!
